Inspired by popular reality shows like American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, CRM Idol 2011 was created by Paul Greenberg and CRM influencers. This is the first competition of its kind that is designed to help small “CRM-ish” software companies get a moment in the sun, and also have access to some of the top influencers and thought leaders in CRM. And, if they are lucky enough to make the finals and even win, they will get access to tools, publicity, subject matter expertise, and potentially partnerships and money that could propel them to success. Cool, right?
In his blog Monday, Paul shared that even those who don’t finish will have made connections they otherwise wouldn’t have made -- and, of course, are welcome to follow through with them after the competition. They also, hopefully, would have learned something they otherwise might not have known, had that moment in the sun, and maybe can even parlay it into something even bigger.
