If you have ever attempted to export groups from the Group List in Sage ACT!, you may have noticed that only the list of group names, and associated detail are exported. In this week’s tip you’ll learn how to export group members from Sage ACT!.
Exporting Groups to Excel
Exporting groups and the membership of those groups requires two steps:
Create a lookup of the contacts that are members of a group.
Export that list to Microsoft Excel.
Furthermore, this process will need to be repeated for each group that you would like to export. Here’s how it’s done:
1. Open the Groups view, and locate the group you would like to export.
2. On the Groups view toolbar, click the Create Lookup from Group button (the magnifying glass icon)
3. The contacts that are current members of that group are displayed in the Contact List view. Click the Export Current List to Excel button on the Contact List view toolbar.
4. In Microsoft Excel, select File > Save As. In the Save As window, type a file name and browse to the location where you want to save the file.
