The first day of autumn is only weeks away (September 22nd) and with the change of seasons approaching, it’s time to apply the lessons learned from your customer interactions and make the alterations to your programs so that you can maximize the success of your CRM programs during the critical months which close out the year.

Have you already established your own marketing wellness evaluation with recommendations provided from the “7 Check Points for Mid-Year Marketing Wellness” posted on our blog earlier this year?  The seven check points include:

  1. Analysis of past performance
  2. Understanding your customers at the individual level
  3. Auditing the customer experience
  4. Committing to a test plan
  5. Evaluating your progress
  6. Making and action plan
  7. Follow-up

These are significant initiatives and keeping them close at hand will help ensure that your marketing efforts stay on track and that you end up sending the right message at the right time to your customers.

Of course, if you are not sure where to start with your optimization efforts, one of the best campaigns to start with is a welcome email stream.

As one of the first touches with a new customer, welcome email messaging is key to the success of your customer management strategies.  It is critical that the welcome email stream set the tone for the relationship, effectively manage subscriber expectations and clearly message the benefits and unique value of the email program.  Additional considerations may include invitations to engage with your brand across social networks, interact via mobile and even an opportunity to update preferences and empower your customers to engage through their channel of preference and at a messaging frequency that aligns with their needs and expectations.
