I believe that everyone is striving to be great at what they do. Whether you’re a landscaper, hairdresser, or software consultant, you chose your profession because you are good at it and you get joy out of a job well done. The harsh truth is to start a business, you have to focus on other things.  Inventory, scheduling, taxes, websites, social media, branding… the list goes on and you haven’t even got a customer yet!

26 years ago ACT! defined the space of contact management with the belief that an organization system to manage your relationships will improve your business. Through the years this product has grown with it’s customers to become more sophisticated; we’ve added dozens of productivity features, integrations, and new ways to help grow our businesses. Building off of that rich tradition we are on the cusp of unveiling Act! Cloud, the next generation of the Act! product family.

Act! Cloud is a thoughtful fusion between contact management and emarketing delivered through a no-install, pure web experience. This is tailored specifically for the needs of a small/microbusiness with the most essential relationship and marketing tools purpose built to be available wherever you need it.

Act! Cloud is not a replacement for a customer happy with the broad feature set of Act! Desktop and is looking for a way to bring that functionality into the cloud. For those prospects, we have Act! Hosted where the Act! team takes on the server infrastructure and provides access via web, mobile, and even offline syncing remote databases. Learn more here

Act! Cloud is for a different kind of user. Focusing on the micro business and committed to grow with you, Act! Cloud will be the single place to track interactions of contacts, segment them into groups, send marketing campaigns, and make recommendations on who to contact based off of their interest in your messages. Please join us to beta this experience and pass this opportunity to anyone you know that is on their path to creating a successful small business. Sign up here

I lead a group of 10-15 musicians in a drinking band with a bluegrass problem. Bargrass Revival. Check it out, it’s embarrassingly fun. It’s a great way for us to blow off steam after a long week of office work. But finding the right venue and time slot, getting confirmations from the band about a gig, and promoting it can be a stressful effort. I can’t wait to start using this for our group.

How will you make friends with Act!?
