Why annoy users with this extremely unnecessary logo and oversized buttons?
Inching together controls on the layout screens to make the most of the viewable area is made even more difficult by this poorly concieved bit of self promotion. You already have 25 years of success, unmistakable branding, a top name, a title bar containing the name of your program, a spash screen and a few hundred dollars from each user that says "yes, we know what we are using to manage our contact and we bought it because we like it - despite the shameful waste of screen space that makes the UI unnecessarily busy and reminds us that you are not entirely in touch with what we want as users."
What's the plan, alienate existing users, to try to catch the eye of someone looking over their shoulder in the office?
Scrap it and offer small icons with a customizable, dockable, undockable, scalable toolbar, or don't and keep annoying people. Where will you get more milage?
How much does it cost to get a new user vs. not losing an old one? It's competative out there, make a better product, earn loyalty, grow organicly.
And while you are at it, how's the Action Plan, Activity Series, Task Plan feature for Opportunities coming along?
