Doing a right-click in a field is a quick way to do a lookup based on that field. It would be neat if the lookup was, by default, populated with the value in the field you just clicked in.
Quite often I find I'm looking for contacts which are the same. For example, if I'm on a Contact record for someone who works at Sage, I will often be looking for other contacts who also work for Sage, so if I right-click in the Company field which is populated with the name "Sage" the default lookup would be Lookup Company Contains Sage.
All helps to speed things up!
The date is missing from the results grid returned from on a keyword search. Forexample, If you seach a single contact for a word and get a lot of hits, you can not find the most recent from the ley word results display. There is no date and no "customize columns"
Suggestion: Add customize columns or hard code the date.
This would allow the user to lookup John Smith (I have 18 in my database) who lives in Atlanta and is a Customer.
Right now, we have to either lookup Smith or John or remember how we entered his contact name, ie. Mr. John V. Smith. After I lookup Smith, I have to create another search and Narrow the lookup or scan through all 375 Smiths in my database to view the John Smith that are Customers. This is time consuming. Alternately, I can do an advanced lookup but this is more tedious. We need it simple for everyday lookups.See the attached image I recreated from an older add-on that used to handle this nicely. ALSO, some fields like Phones, Emails and Addresses should DEFAULT to a Lookup > Any Field. If we have to lookup a phone or email, we don’t care if the data is in the defaulted fields or not. We just want to know who the phone or email belongs to. This can also be addressed with the Multi-Lookup feature also. Thanks,Scott Abboud
