You can do this with an add-on... the specific add-on would depend on they type of site design, the information you want the users to see and what they need to update. Also if they inormation is used by the sate to grant access to other parts.

 

Because web sites use a variety of programming languages and database systems, adding this generally to ACT! would be quite difficult

I just want ACT to allow there to a restricted USER who by default can only see their own record.

 

There would need to be a choice of tabs to be viewed which could be achieved with a Restricted User layout.  

 

I am looking for this in ACT for WEB directly, not linked to another web product. There is a massive market out there for clients who manage membership lists by giving the members the right to change their own details within the web hosted database.

 

With some work ACT could tap in to a whole new market.
