We just upgraded to AFFP 11 from version 6. My boss is about to kill me because he can't view both Notes and History in one place. There has to be a custom tab someone has built to accomplished this. Thanks.
There are tools to export the Notes and re-import them as History... doesn't get done that often as splittng them into two tabs was pretty much the most requested feature from ACT! 5/6

I'm not saying it doesn't make sense to some, but why not give us the option to combine them in one view. We have started using History as our "Notes", but we like the quickness of the notes feature. It takes twice as long to write a note in history as it does in notes. Is there a way to makes the history form not require a subject like note?
We haven't bought our 8 licenses yet as we're still on the trial period. We like many features of AFFP 11, but this could be a deal breaker for our team. Just give us the option, that's all I'm saying.
Is there a way to make the History/Notes list show the whole note and not just the first 6 lines? We are use to being able to scan the list and not miss anything. Now we have to click on a long note to see the whole thing in the preview pain. It's a pain.
Can we bring back the split screen option so we can see our calendar and a contact at the same time?
Some of these are huge features that I can't believe are not at least options to customize.

I agree 150%. Give us the option Sage. Come on. Who thinks of these things? Even though a large amount of people wanted the tabs separated, I am sure there are a lot that want it together.
Who makes these decisions?
At least give us options. You would think that when you go from 1 tab that has notes/histories combined to two tabs, a little checkbox in preferences could change them back to 1 tab, if desired.
Answer this question Sage: How hard is this? Who makes these crazy decisions? Let me know his/her name and I will let him/her know. Give me the job.

How much programming is needed to give us this option? Hardly any.
There is an addon called Notes to History that will copy notes to the History tab. You have to create an Activity Type called Note and then run the program. Check with www.software4advisors.com
One option you have is to add the middle pane control from the devnet downloads site - this way you could see Notes and History records at the same time (middle pane being Notes or Histories and the tab view being the other).
I found it.
I'm having trouble getting it to show up though.
Does it work with AFFP 11? I'm having trouble getting it to show up in the control box of layout designer. I put it in the Tools folder.
