This is something I do every day !
During a sales process I need to ask advise or information, warn people about a sales process they are involved in.
All those messages and histories are part of a sales process (opportunity) and should be attached to it.
What I do is:
- Send a message to a partner for example and at the same time(using ACT buttons in Outlook window message)
- attach that message to "My client", Company and group.
This way I not only have records with those I sent message but also with customer group and company involved.
Sales process (opportunity) is left back.
I need to go back to history (message sent) and attach it to opportunity.
Please give me the option to attach message to opportunities ALSO
I am so disappointed to learn that you may not attach an existing email template to an email triggered by a smart task. The only way to do this appears to be to pay for the additional service from swiftpage. This was clearly omitted from the product feature in order to force anyone wanting to implement their own drip email campaign to use a pay for 3rd party service. Shame on you guys.
A pay for service should stand on it's own merit as to it's value add.
I should not be prevented from using my own already available templates if I so desire.
