When creating a quote, ACT! picks the first person in the list of related contacts rather than allowing me to select which contact gets the quote.
Word has a feature in the database functionality that would allow me to select a contact from a database, but it prompts for the name and location of the database to use. Navigation to the ACT folders yields nothing in Word's default database formats that it recognizes. I suspect that if I found a way to connect the two, it would load the entire 3000+ contacts rather than just the few that are related to the Opportunity.
Perhaps ACT! could create a virtual look-up, a small contact database of just the contacts related to that Opportunity, link it to the quote on hand, and let me select a contact before creating the actual quote.
OR, put a radio button or check box next to the name of each contact when in the Opportunity/Contacts tab that would allow me to select which contact(s) should be "quoted." That button could also serve other mail merge functions.
