If you generate a Word document from an Act! template, (or even independently of Act!) you can't save it, or attach it to the Contact record without either printing it or saving it to a folder first.
This is both inconvenient at times and also a document control issue as you then have two copies of the same file on your system.
I would like the option to generate a Word document and save it to a Act contact record, in the Documents tab without having to first save it or print it.
I am new here. Found the forum in search for the answer to your question. Did you ever find a solution to this? I looking for one.
It's currently not possible to do. You have to save first before you attach to Act!
