There is a portable version for the iPad ... look for Handheld Contact

As to Mac OS, Apple just don't have enough market share in the sales marketing area.... it's why Daylite is the only CRM to have gone down that path.

  • Sage ACT! is built on Microsoft .Net, Microsoft MSI Installer and Microsoft SQL, none of which are truly supported on MacOS,
  • Macs have ~ 11% market share,
  • The ACT! development team is not expanding,
  • The world is moving to Cloud/SaaS solutions and away from locally installed apps.  A major benefit of this move to Cloud/SaaS is the ability to use these SaaS applications across many different browsers (including Safari) and on many different devices (including IOS-based devices like iPads and iPhones).

By no means do I speak for the ACT! team, but I think I can safely say they will never re-write ACT! to run on MacOS.

Based on that, I would suggest you look into Parallels or similar to run ACT! on your Mac.
