I'm not sure why someone decided it would be a good idea to have an Open/Share database window that appears when you click Open an existing ACT! Database, but for most people it's just an added impediment to using ACT.
I suspect 99% of regular ACT users only ever open one database, so why make a choice of "open the correct one" or "open the incorrect one" so prominent?
Why is there a prominent button for "Share/ Unshare"? This is only ever going to be done once, and even then only on the main server, so why have a button that tempts people to think "I wonder what this does?"
Why is there a button for "Share", but no visible hint as to how to actually open the database you select? A button for "Open" would be far more useful.
The hyperlink "The database I want is not listed" looks like a link to a help file rather than a central part of the process.
Yes we need the ability to access these functions but I don't believe it's needed here.
