I was shocked to learn that teh latest version of ACT can only sync with the root contact folder in outlook called "Contacts"
I have been using an add on called DoubleLook for many years. DoubleLook allows the syncronization of ACT with any contact subfolder.
Anyone using Outlook and ACT must keep client / customer data separated from personal data. I don't want my family and friends co-mingled with my customer ACT data.
Outlook has had Contact subfolder capabilities for many years. It is logical for an Outlook user to create a client contact folder - and since DoubleLook knows how to do this - why is ACT bragging about it's improved Outlook integration without the abiltity to sync to subfolders.
Do the people at Sage really believe that ALL Act data needs to be synced with ALL outlook data.
I am forced to continue to use the DoubleLook add-on since Sage still has NOT satisfied a basic outlook integration requirement.
I sent a note to Sage customer service over a week ago with a very nice version of this rant - NO REPLY. So now to the blogosphere...
