Make address books sticky so that even if the online one is not available it is not removed from preferences in ACT. In this way if you have an address book set up for your sync database, emails will revert to it to attach against contacts. As it is now, if you server is down and ACT program cannot connect then the address book is removed and then defaults to your sync database. If you are in a workgroup logging online to server is realtime and can see what other users are doing. However, if you create a new contact from Outlook email if will attach to the remote database and you will not see it, including the saved email and follow-up activity. You have to log out of the main and back into the sync databasea and set up preferences again to add the main database address book back. This works until the server is not available the next time, which is common in smaller configurations as running on workstations pretending to be servers.
