If you select All Users when looking at a calendar view, tasks scheduled for other users are prefixed with the users' name in brackets. Your own tasks are not.
This is both inconsistent and inconvenient.
It's inconvenient because in month view it's almost impossible to see any other details.
I would like calendar options as follows:
1. No User Name prefix OR suffix.
2. User Initials only as prefix OR suffix.
3. Full User Name as prefix OR suffix.
Or how about Last Name, First Initial (no prefix, no suffix), followed by company name?
We have developed an add-on for ACT! named Impact - Calendar Modules 2011 which addresses the display issue when multiple contacts are attached among many other issues. For the attached contacts we have a preference to display these patterns: contacts and users (ACT default), contacts first then users, contacts only, users first the contacts or users only.
Other useful features in this add-on are: Multiple users calendars side-by-side. Display fields such as phone or postal codes. Word templates, email features, color coding. Maps, holidays and advanced project tracking.
You can learn more at: http://durkincomputing.com/ACT-Addons-CalendarViewPlus.aspx?mod=about
Download the 30day trial from this page: http://durkincomputing.com/Download.aspx
To change the ‘Show Contacts” preference follow these steps:1) Download and install the add-on using this link.2) Restart ACT3) Go to the calendar and click on the new “Fields” icon on the top toolbar4) Click on the “More Options” button and selected the “Show Contacts” tab
Hope this helps
