Different parts of a company may well use different Sales Processes when creating opportunities. Problem is, tthe minute you have more than one Process people forget to change it when creating Opportunities.
It would be helpful if you could set the default Process based on a query of a value in another field.
So, if you had a Process for Sales and a Process for Service you could configure the field so that if a Sales person was the Record Manager for that Opp the default Sales Process whould be Sales and if a Service person was the Record Manager the default Process would be Service.
You might also want to query other fields such as Products, or on Access or on Teams, but the nice thing about Record Manager is that it is already set when the Opportunity is created.
