I just purchased ACT! for the first time and transferred all my data from my former CRM program, which was called 'Intellect' by Chaos, to ACT! I needed something bigger and better. However, there is one feature from my old program which is amazing and, unfortunately, lacking in ACT! You may not believe this, but it is 100% true: with my old Intellect program, I was able to transfer all of my info onto a flash drive and access it from any other computer as if the program was already installed there - even if it was not. My understanding is that use of a flashdrive with ACT! info is only feasable when the computer already has the ACT! program installed. Why can't you add this fantastic feature to your program?
ACT! uses Microsoft SQL which requires a proper install and needs the database to remain on a fixed drive

O.K., Mike. Whatever you say...I am somewhat computer-challenged, so I don't really understand the technicalities, but I gather that it cannot be done. Too bad.
Anyway, thanks for your response.
