Indicate whether Preferences and Settings are Global or User Specific

As ACT! becomes more complicated it gets difficult to remember which settings are user specific, which are global settings for the database, and which are global settings for the program.

Could we not have some sort of indicator (red, green, blue perhaps?) beside each configuration button to show the implications of making a change?

It would be even better if Sage would eliminate storing the preferences in the App Data folder and store the user preferences in the database!

I am unsure as to why they have not used the database itself to store these preferences.
