We want to do a COMPARE between two fields in the dynamic criteria for groups.
For example:
Contact field YTD Sales > LYTD Sales would give us a list of contacts whose sales, year to date, is greater than last years.
being able to compare two fields (less than, equal, not equal, greater than) would allow for greater functionality in the group rules.
Of course, the other option here is to do calculations within ACT!, and set the value of field (see http://community.act.com/t5/Share-Your-Ideas/Calculations-in-fields-and-reports/idi-p/44127) and then base the group rules on a single field as we can now, rather than adding a compare to the group rules.
Just have a client that could do with this functionality now.
Importing (merging) client data from .csv into the ACT! database, a dynamic group that could compare FIELD1 with FIELD2 would mean we could see which clients have increased their spending with us.
Would anyone else find this useful?
