As an ACT! hosting provider and ACC since 1998, I have long wished for an effective way to define which contact records specific web users have access to. Sync sets are perfect for sync users: You can define which records are viewable to that remote sync user through the use of the Sync Set Criteria - namely queries. But what about web users? There really isn't any provision for this.
I'd like to see - right in the Manage Users area - a step called Define Record Access Criteria. So you could define right at the user definition level, which contact records they will be able to see, through the use of a Sync Set Criteria style set of queries. Can I get some amens out there?
