I know that ACT only syncs with Outlook and Gmail, but for what we do, I don't even really need/want it to sync. All I want to be able to do is record a history entry from a few e-mails.
To that end, a great and hopefully simple feature would be to have Act have an incoming e-mail address or something, so I could BCC it on the e-mail I would like to capture in the database.
So for instance, I may have 54 e-mails going back and forth with a client, that are production related, single blurbs, that have no realy meaning for the sales side of things. But then that 55th e-mail may be regarding a potential project. I would like to be able to forward it to ACT@mycompany.com, and then have it trigger a new history. I could then do the same with my reply to this Opportunity, by BCCing ACT@Mycompany.com
Hopefully this can be added for a future version or SP
I don't use outlook.... the beauty of Act being able to receive e-mails would be that it would eb a quick way to make it somewhat interact with any e-mail app. Cloud based or not.
Xact Software released Smart Inbox provides for CC: to attach any email, from any device, any email client to Act! - no need for Outlook.
