We would love to be able to drag and drop an email from outlook straight into ACT in the History tab.
Rather than having to select the email and use the add in of attach to an ACT contact then search the contacts name to attach.
We always have ACT open with outlook and often have say 10 emails we need to attach to a particular contact in ACT from different sources so cannot use the auto attach based on matching email address.
So if we could just drag and drop from our inbox or sent items to the ACT database in the history tab, thus creating a copy of the email in the ACT attachments folder that would be fantastic.
It would also be great if we could Drag & Drop or attach from the Email Client directly to the Opportunities Tabs .
Opportunities Tabs are still living in an Orphanage unable to be accessed or fields combined with other elements of ACT! It really needs to be fully integrated into the package.
Better Idea ... have ALL emails sent to you from each individual go into an "Email" tab in the "Contact record Tab" That way you can keep all your email communications separate from the calls meeting and todos'.
@paulonish - ACT 2012 allows you to filter by History type on the History tab so you can separate the calls, meetings, todos an emails. This was a great improvement and I use it often when I'm looking for a specific history type.
The drag and drop feature from Outlook to ACT would be a fantastic addition and extremely helpful. Hopefully, it is available soon. We had this with Sage SLX and it was very nice.
