To be able to control the format of date fields as a preference within Act! instead of basing it on regional settings of the PC.
To make sure that all users have the dates appear in the same format
On some occasions if you have several users working with the same database but they have different regional settings on their PCs, the date field format does not display the same for all users.
You can use our add-on Impact Suite to override the system current culture date formatting allowing all users to see the same date formats.
