Well, ACT! uses colors to designate the priority, but I have any number of customers who use the colors to show who the user is (Ron is red, Yolanda is yellow, etc).  No reason why you couldn't use the color to designate the different events.  There is no way for ACT! to automatically assign the right color - you would have to change it each time.

btw, Outlook does have color rules so that you can tell it to color an event purple if it finds the word church in the topic (technically, it assigns the category of Church and Church is a color that you've defined.)

We have developed an add-on for ACT called Impact - Calendar Module which allows you to create color rules for any field on the activity such as "Location = In-house make green" or "Scheduled With = Chris HUffman make red". Here is an example screen shot:

I am a long time very happy user of Durkin add ons and was just trying out the ToolKit recently to see if I wanted to upgrade.  Is the Calendar Module part of the Toolkit?
