I agree that having a view that matches the Windows version (as it used to) would be very powerful and make it easier to promote it as uniform SaaS and On-Primises - Which I regard as Act! biggest advantage over most of it's competitors.


However (and I'm only guessing here), I'd suspect that doing this is would be a lot of messy code (more than a CSS or skin change) ... It would need some serious code to do that and still maintain browser compatability.


My guess is that any change to the UI will wait for the WebAPI to be able to customise the UI (as the SDK can in Windows) ... Then, it will depend on how much they allow.


But I wouldn't expect this to be added to WebAPI in the next year, or two... They seem very slow at doing some of the important stuff :-(

Thought I read somewhere that the windows (installed) version of V19 would adopt the "Prince of Darkness" design we currently have in the web interface.


But perhaps it was just a dream I had.


Like the one where the UK leaves the EU
