I typically start with a Contact record with the Company name in the Company field and "Get Contact" in the Contact field. Until I have a human to talk to I don't want to have a Comnpany entity. Most people that I run into that want this (had one yesterday) are coming from an "Account Centric" system and they want to feel comfortable. Once they learn a little more they like the fact that ACT let's you do it this way.

have to agree with the orginal statement. understood that ACT is contact cenrtic and i love the feature,

but the company is important to and feature around company info should be there as well.

for instance

- in prefernces you can't start up in the company view

- groups cant be based up company criteria
