Other applications allow you to sort & sub-sort a list - e.g. by clicking column header 'X' to sort by that column, then clicking a second column header 'Y' to produce a primary sort of Column 'Y' combined with a secondary sort of Column 'X'.
This enables you to produce a list that is sorted by e.g. primarily Geographical Sector & secondarily Company Name alphabetically. This is very useful at times.
It would be very helpful if ACT enabled this in List View.
I believe the function you are looking for is the Edit > Sort function. Choosing this function will allow you to sort your contacts by up to 3 fields.
Thanks for this - very useful. I asked the ACT Tech Dept in the UK today & they told me there was no way to sort more than one column! Learn something every day!
