If the Company is there, you can auto link new contacts as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article -

http://kb.sagesoftwareonline.com/cgi-bin/sagesoftwareonline.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1936...

But this doesn't auto create a company if one wasn't there before

Hello Sanese,

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. In ACT!, Company records are a separate entity from Contacts which can be linked to a contact record. If you are looking up a contact's company and the Company record has not been created, then the best way is to do the lookup on the contact's "Company" field (not the actual Company record).

In addition, you can create a Company record from a contact:

- Go to the contact's record

- On the main menu, click Contacts > Create Company From Contact

This will create a new company from the contact's company name and link that contact to the new company
