Manually altered files (IE altered via file browser externally from Act! application) in the Database Files folder are not currently synced between remote database and main database. These files need to be copied to the other database manually.
When initiating a sync, run a check of the files in the Database Files folder to look for any changes. To reduce performance issues avoiding the Attachments folder might be worthwhile as this is rarely modified manually. The check would need to look for any differences between these files, then sync the newest.
As Windows' Last Modified flag might not be accurate, such as in cases where a new file has been replaced by an old one, it might be useful for Act! to maintain a log of this - on each DB open, run a check of the folder. Note any changes. On sync, the most recent change detected by Act! will be used.
Replacement of a corrupt template file with a working version
Deletion of Dashboard files (not possible from within Act! application)
Replacing an existing template with another that was created elsewhere, e.g. brought across from another database
