There is so much wasted time trying to create a scheduled activity because it's so tedious trying to to associate the contact with the company/group every time. The Activity series is nice in that you can create a template with the associated group/company already pre-defined. However, there could be a better way to integrate these two things.
This is a simple example--- I have two friends I go to play racquetball with. It's never the same day/time of the week. However, it's associated with a group category called "exercise" and has two additional contacts. I really hate trying to associate this activity to the group every darn time and I hate the way activity series is set up right now. Things in ACT! a lot of times are not well thought out.
It would be nice that there be a button on the "schedule activity" form that could create a "shadow activity series" where the "schedule activity' form creates an activity series behind the scenes. That way, when I create an activity for "racquetball", I could use the pre-configured Activity Series template to create this activity that already has all the associations pre-configured.
Or the schedule activity form can have the Activity series somewhere in the "schedule Activity" form so I can pick it and it would prefill. Something, anything to shorten these steps. I cannot believe how long it takes to do things in ACT!
