1. The application is .Net  as you point out

2. The database isn't proprietary, it's MS SQL Server

So, it would require essentially a complete re-write from the ground up ... and just not the market to warrant it

 

Much easier to just run a Windows virtual machine for those who need it ... or to just use a cloud version of Act! without local install
