It would be nice to add fields such as 'referred by' and 'ID/Status' but really, you shuld be able to add any field that is available on the contact screen in ACT!.
I find this function as it stands at the moment to not be that usable, as you create the contact, and then you have to go and look up the contact in order to finish completing the required fields.
Agreed ... additionally, it should support pull-downs and formatting as per the ACT! database.

When one creates a new contact from Outlook (into ACT!) the ID/Status field should be there. It is for creating secondary contacts, so why not on creating new contacts from outlook?
In my opinion, the ID/Status field should be there by default.
If we could customise this form that would be great, we could then add, for example the referred by field, industry etc. this would reduce the amount of double handing required by staff when the use this feature.
It would be great when you click OK on this dialog it then prompted you with "Would you like to lookup this contact now? Yes/NO" Which when clicking Yes would take you to that contact record in ACT!.
As a third party developer we have asked many times for an SDK hook into this 'New Contact' event so we could create a custom "add contact" form. Not only is the ID/status field useful but end users with required fields face major data entry problems.
To this day we have never heard back from Sage about this or other request. Nor does Sage share with developers SDK feature request status. Maybe someday it will be added but even then I probable would not be notified.

Also when creating the contact from the email, it would be great to have the phone number input mask so you don't have to type the ( ) and - to separate the numbers. It needs to be like ACT where you simply type the phone number. Would really be nice if ACT could parse the signature line better (much like egrabber's tool) to fill in more of the fields when creating a contact from an Outlook email
