ACT for Workgroups allows one to customize the dashboard and edit SQL code to reflect what a client wants to see. ACT for Web apparently does not.
Issue is as market moves toward self hosted cloud based solutions where customers can run ACT for Web on their own IIS server to cut out hosting fees charged by the competition (i.e. SalesForce) and the benefits of cutting down on expensive end user installs and better centrally administering the solution -- ACT does not have parity between Web and traditional Client/Server based solution.
As it stands now you can customize the dashboard in ACT that runs on Windows and tweak the SQL code but you cannot do this on ACT for Web. Only solution is to run something like TopLine Dash and then distribute the reports which is a nice workaround.
When will we be able to create a Custom Dashboard in the ACT for Web program on a server and then see it show up when logging in as a user using Internet Explorer 8 for example? Have I missing something?
