I am running ACT! by Sage 2007 (9.0) Version 220.127.116.11
Custom column formatting seems to randomly revert back to default. How can I get custom column formatting to stick?
syncing with Outlook calendar produced unpredictable results, particularly with the name field. Now it doesn't sync at all.
Syncing with Ipaq also yields unpredictable results on name field.

Sounds like your preferences have become corrupted you coudl try removing using ACTdiag and redo preferences
Do you have the latest hotfixes for version 9. Check knowledgebase on act.com
I recommend using Companionlink rather than the inbuilt handheld link as it is much more reliable
