v17.2 Could not authenticate user. Verify the user name and password, and try again. help

My pc crashed now I get message when i attempt login   ACT Pro v17.2     Could not authenticate user.  Verify the user name and password, and try again. 

I researched in kb database, tried detaching db.. and opening the .adf file type,my other act databases open ok.

What Next? Help .

Thanks for the assist. Yes local db.. All others work except for this one that was open when my pc hard crashed.

Yes I followed those procedures. Someone in support will call me this morning to reset password - cost only $50...

Hope to have it up and running just in time to make a sales demo today..   Smiley Happy 

This issue s/b resolved now.. Thanks again.

UPDATE

I was trying to recall what problems WEBEX left on my pc last time I used ACT! support. Now I remember.

All my act! databases that would open before they reset the password on my problem database above, now will not open.

the db they reset the pw on, is the only db that will open. Aborted my gotomeeting session and re-scheduled add-on demo until tomorrow.

So far all I have had time to do is recover the required demo db I needed this morning.

I used File Restore db/Restore As function and created a new db. Will have to go back in a detach and delete my bad db now.

Later I get to do same(repeat process) on about 8 more db that will not open. I uninstalled webex.. I hope.

I am not 100% certain that webex caused the probs with my other good databases, will know more later when I take the time to  resolve further.

Is the database a remote database, a shared database or a local database?
