Re: the file is open in sql server

Those are the ACT! database files and the SQL engine opens them as soon as Windows starts.

Why are you trying to copy them?

it's always nice to copy files, you know?  i've got my BU's but didn't realize the files got locked up on boot sys tray stuff.

The best way is to use the ACT! backup. This creates a ZIP file that you can copy

The ACT backup will also include all of your templates, documents, etc. so you get the full package.
