I recently see strange codes in the default templates that I send via swiftpage. I am using Act V20 update 7. I see that I should upgrade to 9. Does that solve the problem?
Example strange code:
Could you please confirm receipt of our e-mail and invoice of 2 January 2019 .

Saw this as well. Creating a brand new template seemed to be ok. It only happens on existing templates. It's almost like something corrupted documents on the Swiftpage servers.

Correct, removing the code does the trick. It looks as if I can still use swiftpage marketing in version 20. I was informed that that this should no longer be the case after 1 January 2019?

Asa follow up. I just tried to upgrade Act with the latest update (version 9, released decmber 2018) but I get the message that my version of Act does not apply to this update.
I am now using: Act! Pro Version 220.127.116.11, Update 7
