I created a database. I saved it to a flash drive. I put the flash into another computer with the same version of Act! I cannot upload it. I get a message that says, "The database could not be assessed. In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your database connection is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or the server." I have disabled all firewalls. What is going on? I just want to take a database, put it from my desktop to a laptop, type a few changes, and put it back on my desktop. Somehow, nothing works. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

What you're trying to do won't work. First the database must be on a local drive , not a removable drive. If you tried to use a backup you would have to do a restore as to load it on the second system and use a different database name. You need to setup synchronization between the two computers.
