I have three Windows 7 computers running Act Sage 2011 and sharing a database on one of the computers. When either of the non-hosting computers open Sage (the default database to open is the shared one). I get the standard "cannot access" error. This also happens when they open the .pad file rather than the program.
However, hitting okay brings up the "Open Database" dialogue and selecting the exact same pad file works just fine. I have employee for whom this extra step and error message are problematic, any thoughts on why this is happening and how to fix it so clicking on the pad or launching the program seamlessly opens the database?
I was on hold waiting for "getting started" tech support for over half an hour and figured I'd try here insead
