Using sage act pro 2012 version 14.1.108, using old versions of act it worked, we are using just the basics probably we should just go back. Contacts entered will not save.
enter contact, save, look up contact to check, it isn't there, ??

We have seen some issues if someone has customized or "misused" the contact field where entering doesn't have the results you would think.
Try looking up by create date = today
Lookup, Other fields, Create date - set criteria = Today
Do you show any records?
If they show up this way, and not when doing a lookup, could have something to do with a combination of how your database was customized and / or how it was converted.
Also, try against the demo database. are you able to add records here? this also could indicate a problem with your database.
