restore database

I have recently installed Act 2013 Pro on a new desktop and on a laptop.  The database on the desktop is working fine.  I have backed up the desktop database to a thumb drive but can not restore it to the laptop.  When using  "restore as", I get "cannot open backup device" "operating system error 5(access denies)"  I have used other versions of Act on a desktop and restored those data bases to the laptop I am currently having the difficulty with. Can anyone help?

Hello Paul,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. This indicates an error accessing the backup (.zip) file on the flash drive. You will need to copy the file from the flash drive to your computer, then restore from there.
