"The SQL Database instance is unavailable:.

We have Sage Pro 2012 on computer.  We change a computer name and since then, we have this error message "The SQL Database instance is unavailable from local computer.

What do we have to do?

Re: "The SQL Database instance is unavailable:.

There is a file called [dbname].PAD.  Inside that file it has the machine name.  Change the machine name in the file to the new machine name.

Re: "The SQL Database instance is unavailable:.

Since I changed a name on pad, I am getting this message after I put username and password.

The database "file name" could not be accessed. In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your dataase server is available.  It may be necessary to disabel any firewall software on your computer or the server.

There is no firewall now and this is local machine.

The SQL server may be stopped, try starting it.
