[ Edited ]

We purchased act 2009 and installed it now every time we go to create an email we get this error "object Reference not set to an instance of an object

checked the DPI and is 96. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object"

What email client are you using?  ACT!, Outlook, Outlook Express, etc....

I have see that if you are using Outlook, the typical cause for this error is that the configuration you are using for the Address Book add-in (log in information) is not matching your ACT! Log value, example,

Your ACT! login information - Uersname = MyAccount with password = MyPassword

However, the address book configuration that Outlook uses to login to ACT! may be something else:

Username = MyCoworker

Password = Coworker Password

So what is happening here is that there is a cross between accounts trying to access the database during you login session.

To resolve, simply delete the ACT! Address books from Outlook and add them back paying close attention to the account you are specifying.

thanks
