I was always prompted to create history, and print an envelope for the contact when I printed a letter . I no longer get any prompts just an error Code when I return to the act screen

I have also this problem. I am on Act 11 and Office 2003 (Win XP Pro). i only get this problem with mail merge and templates that were bought in from previous versions of Act.
Also this brings about the problem of constantly swapping between Word and Act word processor, forgetting which templates are for what. I tried the above (deleting the files) but it did not solve the problem. It seems that if the template contains ANY HTML, then it will report this problem. This is not the answer, just pointer to the problem

I am also getting this message everytime I run a word template in Act, I have tried the detect/repair and this does not work. I also keep getting a error message on shut down regarding PSIservice_2.exe.....??????Does anyone have any suggestions other than getting some different software!

We have just upgraded from Sage 2009 to Sage 2011 Pro.
We have around 10 machines deployed wtih XP and Office 2010 all working fine, however one machine is giving this exact same error when we attempt to Write > New Letter/Email Template.

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Online Community!
This may be an issue with the Windows User not having sufficient access rights. You can test this by having that particular user sign onto Windows on another machine and test. Here is an article with further information: KB Article 14380

I found a simple solution after trying out all other suggestions that did not work at the end:
Open up MS Word (I used 2007)
Click on Office Button
Click on Word Option
Click on Add-Ins
Go down towards the bottom, select "COM Add-ins" under Manage and Click on Go
UN-Check ACT! Office Addin
My suspicion is that ACT! is an Office Addin and it might have interfered the program. I am not an investment banker not a computer person, and my knowledge is very limited.

I have exactly the same message and cannot get it resolved. We are using ACT 2012 and Office 2010. I have tried all of the above suggestions to no avail. I have also uninstalled (manually) Office and ACT and re-installed both to no avail. I have taken a copy of the database off the server and restored to my laptop ACT (same version) which worked perfectly.
Any other suggestions would be very useful as one of the key benefits to the client is the use of the products from the Sage50 accounting link and being able to produce quotes. Thanks in anticipation.
