problem installing ACT demo

I get the following error when I try and install demo:

 

"ACT installer has failed to install SQL Express successfully.  Please retry the install or contact the support".

 

Any ideas?

I have see this is the MSXML Parser 6.0 service Pack 2 is installed this might be the cause of your problem

At your own risk try this:

 

The workaround to the issue is (without breaking the existing installation of MSXML 6 Service Pack 2 (KB954459)) to remove the registry key:


HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes\7AB711B11CB5E91428E0D7F4F314C2B7

 

Always backup your registry before doing the above change.  I have used this successfully on several occasions.
