I have a few questions.
1) I'am trying to update company contacts on my laptop that has act version 9 on it. I have a disk from the main database saved as a zip drive but it will not let me import or restore the info. The person created this disk using as a backup.
2) I work from home and use act what is the best way or easiest to update my laptop with new contact / notes and other information from the main database?
3) I also need to update the main database from my notes and info stored on my laptop what is the easiest way?
Please keep in mind this is a small company without much money to spend.

You can sync a remote database to a main database either by syncing through a network or through the internet. To sync though the network, you would need a netowork connection or a VPN. There is a free VPN service called Hamachi which we have found works well with the ACT! sync service. Information to setup this up for syncing with ACT! is in KB 23333.
