multiple contact lists in outlook to import

I have multiple contact lists in MS Outlook and Act 2009 version 11.0 seems to only let me import from the first contact list.  Is there a way, besides exporting all of the other contact lists to a csv and going that route, to simply choose a contact list from Outlook to import???

Re: multiple contact lists in outlook to import

You should be able to export the contacts in Outlook to CSV.

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Open the folder of contacts you wish to export to ACT!.
  3. From the File menu choose "Import and Export."
  4. Select "Export to a File" and click Next.
  5. Choose "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click Next.
  6. Make sure the folder you want to export is selected and click Next.
  7. Click Browse and click on the "Save in" drop-down and scroll up to Desktop. Give the file to be exported a File name and click Save.
  8. Click Next and then Finish.

I appreciate your comment. However, you just told me what I already knew and was stated in my question.  I asked if there was any other way to perform that task without having to do what you just suggested. Act imports and should be able to let you choose which contacts you want to import from their wizard.  If it does not, then it should, as the way you showed me is tedious. Yes, it technically does integrate with Outlook but not on the scale touted.
