Re: mssql2k8 std & act!2011premium

i just found this as well

http://community.act.com/t5/Sage-ACT/Attached-Documents/m-p/55484/highlight/true#M28868

not very encouraging there goes my file security

we have gone completely paperless and of course such direct folder access is reasons for concern

i guess you could have some extreme access levels via window

are there add on s which save the doc to mssql through act

You could save the docs to a secure folder and just link them to the ACT! records.

[ Edited ]

following your suggestion, i created the file security

"ActForWebUser\Documents\ACT\ACT Data\Databases\ACT2013Demo\ACT2013Demo-database files\Attachments"

file security is applied to "Attachments" folder only

file security is set to administrative for following users "ActForWebUser","System",Administrators" only no one else.

I can launch the demo vesion with a poweruser but can not access the "Attachments" folder ie drag and drop files etc

this was done via local access not IE web access  gettin permission errors

is there another user I have to add such as "Batch, Service, etc"

What are the credentials that ACT accesses the attachment folder.

thanks inadvance
