Re: moving 1 contact from database to another database

Open up the database with the contact in it.  Create a lookup of just that contact.  Export the current lookup to the other ACT! database.

I exported the contact as text delimited and then imported to database, all the popups said it was working fine, fields compatible etc., imported it, says finished--but file is not in the database.

Just export as an Act! database Contact not a text delimited. It will then go straight into the target Act! database.

Thanks, I did that and it appeared to work--all panels normal but contact didn't appear. Subsequently found history and notes of target contact scattered all around other contact records.
